Arie Lipsky leads the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra in a program including my “Freylekhe Tanzen,” Grieg’s Piano Concerto (with soloist Anton Nel), Debussy’s “Nocturnes,” and Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite.”

Arie Lipsky leads the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra in a program for Ann Arbor’s public school grades 6–9, including my “Freylekhe Tanzen,” the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto (with soloist Chihiro Kakishima), “Nuages” from Debussy’s “Nocturnes,” and Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite.”

Andy Clark leads the Harvard University Band and Commencement Choir in the world premiere of Michael Schachter’s “To the River Charles,” commissioned for Harvard’s 366th Commencement Morning Exercises. In addition to the 32,000-strong audience in attendance, the proceedings will also be live-streamed at http://www.harvard.edu/live-stream.
