NOTE

I wrote this piece while participating in a terrific summer program in Paris, the European American Musical Alliance, in the summer of 2006. It was a magical experience (especially once I started repairing to the Academie des Biers instead of completing counterpoint homework), where I learned a great deal and made lifelong friends. These pieces represent a wonderful little time capsule to my compositional voice at that time, as well as a reminder of the influential experiences that led to their creation. They are dedicated to Claude Baker, whom I enjoyed working with immensely while I was there.
